Joe Krevs, P.L. Eng, BCQ
Joe is an experienced Engineer (Professional Licensee Engineering with EGBC) and a former Building Official (Registered Building Official with BOABC). Joe is a Principal at Ratio Code Consultants Ltd. He has 17 years’ experience as a Code Consultant in the private sector and as a Building Official with two metro Vancouver municipalities. Joe specializes in Part 3 of the BC Building Code, Vancouver Building Bylaw as well as the upgrade triggers of the Vancouver Building Bylaw. Joe has reviewed and prepared numerous code reports and alternative solutions for assembly, residential, institutional and industrial occupancies. Joe currently sits on the Building Code Interpretation Committee and successfully completed the Certified Professional program in May of 2022.
Henning White, P.L. Eng, CFPS
Henning is registered as a Professional Licensee Engineering (P.L. Eng) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and he is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) which is an internationally recognized designation offered by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Henning is a Principal at Ratio Code Consultants Ltd and has been applying innovative approaches and solutions in the application of Building and Fire Codes for 20 years (6 years in Ontario and 14 years in BC). He has led Code consulting services on a variety of residential and commercial mixed-use developments, daycare to post-secondary projects, industrial and institutional projects. Henning currently serves as Vice President on the executive committee of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers BC Chapter.
Kevin To, M Eng, P Eng, ing, CP
Kevin To is a licenced Professional Engineer in BC and Quebec and is a Certified Professional. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (fire safety) from the University of Waterloo. With a focus on fire engineering, Kevin has experience with Code consulting for a wide range of buildings including public transit related construction and developing alternate Code compliant approach such as performance-based designs.
Jeffery Mitchell, M Eng, P Eng, CP
Jeff Mitchell is a Professional Engineer and Certified Professional with 25 years of experience as a Building Code consultant, including 8 years as a Building Official with the City of Vancouver. Jeff holds a master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Victoria. He is a member of the Engineers and Geoscientists BC and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE). Jeff is registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of BC.
