Participants will gain a perspective and understanding of useful fire protection options from Fire Suppression Systems Association experts.

This Two-day seminar provides the information necessary to navigate through the requirements of NFPA 13 “Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems”. SFPE St. Laurent Chapter Course: Engineering Human Response in Fire: Principles, Models, and Applications

This seminar will help you to understand the human behaviour in fire emergencies, from the first alert and cues to the aftermath of the evacuation process. It elaborates on the material that was presented in Module 3 of the January 2011 course ‘Basic Principles of Fire Protection Engineering’ (not a pre?requisite). The seminar material comes in part from the research work of Dr Guylène Proulx, deceased, during her tenure at the NRC. This course encompasses an in?depth overview of Human Response in Fire, allowing participants to gain or refresh their knowledge on the topic.
